What FinOS is

FinOS ingests your bank SMS, statement emails, and uploaded statements, and pulls investment data from accounts you connect, to build a single view of your spend, bills, and net worth. It runs on infrastructure we operate, for a small set of people we track finances for.

Not financial advice

FinOS is a record-keeping and visualization tool. Nothing it shows — categorization, net-worth trends, recurring-payment detection, or any other output — is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and FinOS is not a registered investment adviser or financial institution. Decisions you make based on what FinOS shows you are yours alone.

Accuracy isn't guaranteed

Transaction parsing, categorization, and balance/holding data are derived automatically from SMS, email, statements, and third-party connections, and can contain errors — a mis-parsed amount, a missed transaction, a stale valuation. Always verify anything that matters (a bill due date, a balance, a tax figure) against your bank, broker, or RTA's own records before relying on it.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials and any device running the FinOS app secure.
• Only connect accounts (Gmail, MFCentral, Groww, SMS forwarding) that are your own, or that you have the account holder's permission to connect.
• Don't use FinOS to attempt to access, scrape, or disrupt data that isn't yours.

No uptime guarantee

FinOS runs on a single self-hosted server, not a redundant commercial platform. We aim to keep it available and your data intact, but we don't guarantee uptime, and the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Your data, your control

You can disconnect any connected account (Gmail, MFCentral, Groww) at any time from the Connections page. You can request full account and data deletion by emailing arun2007ind@gmail.com — see the Privacy Policy for details.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of FinOS, including decisions made based on inaccurate or delayed data, or from service downtime or data loss.

Changes

We may update these terms as FinOS changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
